My Thoughts:

Melissa Foster brings us a new branch of the Whiskey family and I'm here for every one of them! The Whiskeys are one of my favorites that she's ever written because they have a bit of an edge to them that is irresistible. I believe Redemption Ranch is going to bring us some deep couples who are connecting through their pain and their healing.

Billie keeps Dare at a distance because of the guilt she carries for both of them losing Eddie. Even though it was neither one of their faults that Eddie chose to do a stunt while angry, they carry so much of the responsibility. Guilt makes us do some crazy things. Billie chose to push everyone away, while Dare pulled everyone close -- except he couldn't quite get to Billie.

Dare took on Billie as a challenge that ends up helping him connect with Kenny. It showed how earnest Dare was when he would reach out to Billie to open up. His progress with Kenny was great -- but it vastly improved when Billie got involved, too. Such a great couple! Melissa excelled at making Dare relatable. Often with a lot of tattooed, motorcycle-riding bad boys, they get a reputation for being wild. Although Dare maintains a wild streak, he is perceived as a very intelligent, calming, and inspirational character.

Once Dare and Billie reconnect, they begin rebuilding what they started all those years ago. And time has definitely fueled the fire between them because this couple is HOT, HOT, HOT! As with every Melissa Foster novel, you get an expansive collection of characters who are family - by blood and heart. They will do anything to help one another and help the lost find their place in the world again.
