The holidays are all merry and bright...

Until your sister decides to marry your ex—on Christmas.


Now I'm heading home to Sugar Mountain for this nightmare of a wedding.

To make matters worse, my work nemesis somehow convinced me to bring him as my date.


He's grumpy and rude—the most infuriating man on the planet. Honestly, forget decking the halls, I'd rather deck him in the face.


It doesn't help that he's unbelievably handsome. But he hates me, or so I thought.

My Thoughts:


I love a good enemies to lovers book. I also absolutely adore holiday romances. When they're combined, I'm in heaven! Amie Knight has brought a new regular read for the holiday season to my shelf and I am so excited to tell you that the ONLY downside is that this is a novella, so it's a shorter read. But, so worth it!!


Novellas often disappoint me because the lack of character development, but Amie Knight did a phenomenal job of making you feel like the characters are real life people you know. The setting was picture perfect and full of endearing quirks (like Clover's aunt, Vincent Van Goat, and of course, Wilbur!). Nick comes across as grumpy, but when you learn the reason why, it's super sexy and will make you love him even more so.


The premise of Clover returning home for her sister's wedding to her ex had me cringing, but definitely added a new twist to the dynamics. There is a lot of emotion packed into the story and still manages to leave you as satisfied as if it were a full novel.


I look forward to reading this every year during the holiday season!!
