My Thoughts:
WOW! This was a first read of Jessica Peterson's books and I was knocked off my feet. Let me preface this by admitting that I know absolutely nothing about the ins and outs of Wall Street. The inclusion of descriptions for the nature of how the environment works are descriptive and thoroughly explained so I could follow the story without feeling overwhelmed.
Nora is top-notch, goal-model material. She is incredibly smart, on point with her comebacks and wit, and such a fun heroine to read. I love how personable she is with her coworkers, friends, and clients, without being mushy. She's a go-getter we could all take a lesson from. Absolutely head over heels in my admiration for her ability to put men in their place while still maintaining a reputation that doesn't make her catty or obnoxious.
Theo -- his arms were the subject of a few dreams of my own after reading him! He's admirable in how he is taking care of his mother and three sisters and how he worked to his current position in an old school fashion (meaning not greasing palms and using money-connections of his parents). My heart fell a little more over that!
As soon as this couple met, I knew I was reading one of my favorite couples of all time. The banter is quick, to the point, and ON point. Numerous times, I found myself giggling out loud and getting strange looks from people around me. Jessica Peterson has created a mesmerizing read if you love sharp, witty, and S - E - X - Y flying off the pages!
