Starting a new series by Melissa Foster is always a welcomed and exciting adventure. She creates an entire cast of characters who weave their way into your heart -- especially little Hadley. Her toddler personality is undeniably spot on!
Instantly, I felt connected to Daphne. Giving a heroine a "mom bod" is something I really enjoyed the addition of. It gives those of us with mom bods hope for something steamy of our own! Her hesitation is understandable after the experience she had with her ex husband. What a piece of work! She puts her daughter first and really captures the true meaning of being a mom.
Jack will quickly find his way into your heart, too. His tragic past and experience makes you want to reach inside the book and wrap him up in a tight hug. His interaction with Hadley is sweet yet sorrowful because of how he lost his son.
The transformation of this pair is nothing short of breathtaking. I couldn't stop reading (even through tears!). Jack's girlfriend and son could never be replaced, but I believe he found the angels he needed! Can't wait to see where we're taken on Silver Island!
I have volunteered to share my review and all the opinions are 100% my own.
Yay! I'm so happy you enjoyed the start of the Steeles at Silver Island! I loved reading your review and am touched you were brought to tears XOXO
