My Thoughts:
This series keeps getting better and better! When we met Addie and Beckett, I knew they were going to have a tough story to tell. Catherine Cowles did them absolute justice and wrote it with perfection.
Addie is incredibly strong, brave, and despite the trauma she's been through, her heart is pure and kind. I love how she takes control of her own life, pushing to overcome fear, weakness, and to forge her own path of what she wants. She is determined in learning new skills and obtaining all the things she was restricted from. She seeks closure, ready to accept whatever is handed to her.
Beckett's own haunted past gives him a collection of guilt, fear, and weakness. But when he meets Addie, he soon learns how to tap into an area where he can help her. I love how he makes mistakes, overstepping and becoming too protective, then learns from it to do better the next time. He is very observant and uses it for good purposes. You can't help but fall for him yourself!
I always recommend starting a series from the beginning, but I promise, you'll want to hurry up and get to this one. It was beautiful, powerful, and one of the absolute best Catherine Cowles has written yet!
