I was extremely pleased at how well Bell intricately tied in bits and pieces of the previous books. It feels like a jigsaw puzzle where the pieces start clicking together, faster and faster. THIS is what a good mystery does!!
Annalisse and Alec are facing an uncertain future, adding to the stress and building of suspense all throughout. When she accepts the invite from a friend to visit New Zealand, Alec asks Bill to tag along. If you've read the previous books, you know you're about to embark on an adventure that will test Annalisse's resolve with everything in her life. The locals don't want her there, digging and exposing tight-knit secrets. Honestly, I couldn't quite nail down a suspect and enjoyed the surprise!
I'm looking forward to more books in this series -- it's impossible to stop wanting Annalisse and Alec to find happiness that is fully-enduring!

Meet the Author:
Marlene M. Bell is an eclectic mystery writer, artist, photographer, and she raises sheep in beautiful East Texas with her husband, Gregg, three cats and a flock of horned Dorset sheep.
The Annalisse series has received numerous honors including the Independent Press Award for Best Mystery (Spent Identity,) and FAPA— Florida Author’s President’s Gold Award for two other installments, (Stolen Obsession and Scattered Legacy.)
